A renowned German Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke had died in his home town Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 79 years.

He died early hours of Friday last weekend surrounded by his family.

His death was announced in a statement signed by his wife Anni Bonke.

The news was shared through a statement on his verified Facebook page. The message reads:

“Dear brothers and sisters, it is with sorrow that the Bonke family announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Reinhard Bonke.

He died surrounded by his close friends and family.

The popular Evangelist was based in the US but was known for his work with the Christ For All Nations Organisation all over Africa.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has joined others around the world to mourn his demise

Buhari described Bonnke’s demise as a great loss to Nigeria, Africa and the entire world.

the president’s condolence message was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Saturday.

He hoped that Bonnke’s legendary contributions to the body of Christ in teaching and writing would be remembered by posterity.

President Buhari condoled with the government and people of Germany, family and friends of the great preacher and teacher of the Bible, and all his co-labourers in the vineyard.
