A Nigerian man precisely an Igbo man who is identified as Onyebuchi Johnbosco Ezedinugwu entered Thailand on April 2014 on a 60-day tourist visa with a permission to stay until June 25th of the same year.

The suspect with the reasons best known to him, hid himself in the country until he was arrested by immigration officers led by region one commander, Pol Maj-Gan Piti Nitinonthaset at Soi Phetchaburi 35 in Makkasan area of Bangkok on Tuesday 19th January 2021.

The region one deputy of the area said in his speech that the immigration were targeting Africans to check on their visa status as part of the measures associated with the covid-19 pandemic.
