in A statement made available to oconews , The chairman of the local Government made available the following Guidelines Following the resumption NATIONAL UNION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ;
•Had prayers and discussed issues concerning the welfare of members.
• Commends Governor Ugwuanyi for his unstoppable prompt payments of salaries/wages despite the lockdown; thanked the Council Boss, Hon Barr Cosmas Ugwueze for emulating the steps of the Governor in carrying the workers along.
• Observed a minute silence in honour of the former Council Chairman, Late Chief Patrick Omeje (Jnr) and the former Caretaker Chairman, Late Hon Chinwe Ugwu.
• The union lead by their chairman, Comr George Ngwu; urges workers to be up and running with their duties.
• Addressed (on behalf of the government) by the Chief of Staff, Hon Chijioke Ugwu; assures workers that their welfare will never be taken for granted.
