The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has today announced to the general public that their strike of over 9 months due to incompliance by the government has been suspended.

This is as a result of a closed door meeting with the federal government. The meeting has been going on and on for some months ago and there has not been a reasonable conclusion until today.

According to the union’s update on the official handle on twitter, they said that the union would have an executive meeting within themselves to decide and give a feedback to the federal government under 24 hours. This means that resumption of schools have not been announced until the union decide within themselves.
